Dr. Mia Jennings earned her undergraduate degree before gaining a Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry, where she graduated with honors in 1999.

In 2000 she was commissioned in the US Air Force. She became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 2005 and has a special interest in treating acute ocular injuries and diseases. Dr. Jennings was the Medical Services Flight Commander at Vance Air Force Base when she retired in 2016. She now lives in Colorado Springs and works for ABBA Eye Care.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her two sons.

Kristen Heck, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2004 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Samford University. Her special field of interest is primary care optometry in which she oversees comprehensive management of her patients’ visual function, ocular health, and related health care.

As the daughter of an optometrist, Dr. Heck considers herself fortunate to have watched the profession grow and evolve as it has over the years. She is very proud to be part of a health care profession that diligently strives to improve patients’ lives. Dr. Heck loves meeting new patients every day and developing relationships that help her improve their quality of life by helping them see their world better and more comfortably.

In her time away from the office, Dr. Heck enjoys participating in a variety of activities that put her in the beautiful outdoor landscape of Colorado, including traveling, hiking, skiing, and photography.

Dr. Kerry Garwood completed her undergraduate education at Case Western Reserve University. She then graduated from Southern College of Optometry, earning her Doctorate of Optometry in 1999.

Before she moved to Colorado, Dr. Garwood worked at a laser center doing pre/post-operative refractive surgery care. She has worked at ABBA Eye Care since 2012.

Outside of work, she enjoys running, yoga, and spending time with her family.
